MECHANICSVILLE, MD. (August 18, 2018) – Another podium finish by Marvin Musquin at Budds Creek Motocross in Mechanicsville, Maryland. With only one more round of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship series left, Musquin continues to fight for the title and will to the end.
Musquin started the day off by qualifying second overall and carried that momentum into Moto 1. After capturing the holeshot, Musquin dropped into second on the opening lap and battled for the lead for majority of the race. After slicing and dicing his way through the track he was unable to make a pass for the lead and finished the race in second.
During Moto 2, Musquin got off to another great start as he placed himself out front and lead the race for the first five laps. Musquin fought hard to defend his position but unfortunately dropped back a couple of positions later in the race where he ultimately finished fourth for a third-overall for the day.
Musquin: “Today I had great starts – the first moto I got into the lead on the first lap and I just couldn’t get it back. I was fighting for it all the way until the last two laps. It was close but I couldn’t get it. In the second moto, I was up there and it was good, but unfortunately towards the end, physically, it was really tough and I could only get fourth in that moto and third overall for the day. One more round to go, I am looking forward to fighting hard.”
