Marvin is currently sitting third in the 450SX championship after Arlington, TX

ARLINGTON, Texas (February 16, 2019) – Arlington, Texas brought another round of cold weather for the pits but thankfully the massive AT&T Stadium was warm enough inside for the seventh round of the Monster Energy Supercross series. Marvin Musquin continues to stay consistent with another third-place finish putting him in third in points for the 450SX championship.

Musquin qualified third earlier in the day but had to come through the pack in Heat #2 for a seventh place transfer to the main event. During the Main Event, Musquin shot off the line into a third place start and immediately began battling with Ken Roczen for second. Eli Tomac was in the lead until he made a mistake seven laps in, advancing Musquin into second place. From there, the Frenchman began challenging Roczen for the lead for several laps until his teammate Cooper Webb made a clean pass on him and put him back into third where he ended the night.

Musquin:“Ending up on the podium once again, is definitely a good thing, considering how I did in the heat race. Even though my gate pick wasn’t the best, I was motivated for a good start and that was exactly what I did. I was third off the start and battled with Kenny [Roczen] and when Tomac [Eli] went down and I was running second. I had a good pace and I felt comfortable but then I started tightening up a little bit and that’s when Cooper caught me. It was too much playing defense for me and he was right there, and then he got me. From there, I had nothing left so I salvaged a third place. It’s good, but I was in a good position for better, so I am a little bit disappointed with that but I’m also happy that we were able to turn it around after the heat race.”
