PALA, Cali. (May 25, 2019) – Round two of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship took place at Pala, California’s Fox Raceway, where Marvin Musquin bounced back from last weekend’s race with scoring second-overall.
In Moto 1, Musquin got a fourth place start and powered his way to third on the third lap. From there, he battled with the top contenders throughout the race and with only three laps to go, Musquin got passed for second and ultimately finished third.
In Moto 2, Musquin launched off the line into a second-place start and took over the lead on the first lap. He held his position until the second half of the race where he began to battle with Eli Tomac who passed him on lap 9 for the lead. Musquin put together an impressive ride scoring 3-2 giving him second-overall and securing valuable points in the championship early in the series.
Musquin: “Coming from Hangtown, I had a rough week with only a little bit of riding on Thursday and Friday so I didn’t have much expectation. I just wanted to get back to my full potential and I feel like today I was back to myself. I’m glad to be back on the podium with second overall and happy with my riding.”
