In Main Event 1, Musquin grabbed another great start and moved into the lead on the opening lap where he lead all 27 laps of the race. Musquin was dominating the race until lap 27 when medical flags were out from a crash earlier in the race. Musquin, slowed down for the yellow flags but unfortunately failed to keep his wheels on the ground for the red cross flag, which is a violation of the rules. As a consequence, Musquin will keep the win but is penalized seven points and is currently fourteen points back from the red plate.

With only five rounds remaining Musquin is far from done and hopes to continue this winning streak.

Musquin: “It was a great main event, I had a great start and was in second. Once I got around Zach Osborne I was in a great position. From there, Roczen [Ken] caught up to me a little bit and the race was on! I hit all my marks, stayed consistent and cleaned through the whoops. I pulled the trigger on the quad in the middle of the rhythm and that really helped me. I really enjoyed the track and the riding, I was super happy about everything today. Unfortunately, I made a mistake in not seeing the red cross flag. I saw a lot of yellows and I slowed down to make sure I was safe but unfortunately I did jump, and the rules are ‘no jumping.’ It’s a big bummer, hard to swallow, but it doesn’t take anything away from a big win today.”
