LAS VEGAS,Nev. (May 4, 2019) Round 17 of the season finale of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship took place at Sam Boyd stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Marvin Musquin had an impressive season despite starting the year off with a knee injury and very little ridding. He quickly threw himself into the championship chase and captured twelve podium wins were he ultimately finished third overall in the 450SX Championship.
The desert heat began to rise and so did Musquin as he qualified second for the day. In Heat Race 1, Musquin had a third place startand quickly worked his way into second early on. He began closing the gap on the leader for the win but got caught up by a lapper on the last coroner and settled for a second-place transfer into the Main Event.
In the Main Event, Musquin put himself into a second place start and never looked back. He rode mistake free and ended the season on high note taking second for the night and third in the championship.
Marvin Musquin: “VEGAS! It’s the last one and I was looking forward to ending the season on a good note but the track conditions were tough. I rode safe and ended the night with second. I was looking for one more step than last year but overall it was a decent year. I gave my best this season and that’s all I could do. A little bit of mistakes and the end of the year took me out of the fight but I’m looking forward to next year and getting ready for outdoors.”
